As the principal spends increasing amounts of time in the United States, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced House Manager to oversee and support the day-to-day operations of two exceptional residences in San Francisco and New York.
Working closely with the wider team, the successful candidate will ensure both properties are maintained to the highest standard and fully prepared for the principal's arrival at all times.
The portfolio includes a stunning multi-level townhouse in San Francisco, and an extraordinary three-level penthouse apartment in New York, where the principal's partner resides full-time.
This is a highly varied position combining traditional House Management responsibilities with lifestyle support, property oversight and hands-on assistance when the principal is in residence. The role will involve regular travel between both locations and would suit someone who enjoys being adaptable, proactive and deeply involved in the day-to-day running of a private household.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth operation of both residences
- Manage and support the housekeeping teams at each property
- Ensure properties are maintained to exceptional standards at all times
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers and household vendors
- Conduct regular property inspections and identify maintenance requirements
- Assist with household administration and operational projects
- Prepare properties ahead of principal arrivals and visits
- Provide hands-on support and run errands for the principal when in residence
- Manage inventories, deliveries and household provisioning
- Liaise with the London-based team to ensure seamless communication across all residences
- Support special projects and lifestyle requests as required
Candidate Profile
We are looking for an experienced House Manager or senior household professional with a proven track record supporting UHNW principals and managing private residences. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of multiple properties and projects simultaneously. Strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to build positive relationships with household staff, contractors and principals alike are essential.
Above all, we are seeking someone who is hands-on, service-driven and genuinely enjoys creating well-run, beautifully maintained homes.
Location
The successful candidate will already be based in either San Francisco or New York, travelling regularly between both residences as required.
