Laundry Stewardess

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a truly exceptional large private sailing yacht for an experienced Laundry Steward/ess to join their interior team.

The vessel is currently in the shipyard, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys setting up systems and procedures from the ground up. Working closely alongside the Second Stewardess, you will play a key role in establishing an efficient, well-organised laundry operation that will support the yacht for years to come.

The Role

This is a hands-on laundry position with a strong focus on organisation, attention to detail and exceptional garment care. The successful candidate will take great pride in maintaining the highest standards when caring for owners', guests' and crew clothing, ensuring every item is treated with the utmost care and returned in immaculate condition.

The owners place significant importance on the care of their personal wardrobe, so experience handling luxury garments, delicate fabrics and high-end textiles is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operation of the onboard laundry.
Deliver exceptional care of owner, guest and crew laundry.
Handle delicate, luxury and designer garments with confidence.
Assist in establishing and implementing laundry procedures and best practices.
Maintain an organised, efficient and immaculate laundry environment.
Work closely with the Second Stewardess to ensure consistently high standards.
Identify and appropriately treat a wide variety of fabrics and finishes.
Assist the wider interior team when required.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous luxury yacht laundry experience is highly desirable.
Strong experience caring for luxury garments and delicate fabrics.
Excellent fabric knowledge and garment care techniques.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Highly organised and proactive.
Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.
Team player with a strong work ethic.
Keen to contribute to a long-term, supportive crew environment.
